Parables

Parables are simple and vivid stories that convey spiritual or moral lessons to those who are willing to learn and obey.

If you had one lost sheep, would you not leave the other ninety-nine and go after the lost sheep until you find it?

The father was happy when his son returned home. "My son was dead and is alive again, he was lost and is found."

The Good Samaritan had mercy on his enemy and treated him as he would want to be treated himself by others.

Seed that falls in good soil produces a crop that yields a hundred, sixty or thirty times what was sown.

You wicked servant! I cancelled your debt, but you did not forgive others who owed you money. You will pay me back!

The foolish virgins did not have oil for their lamps. The wise virgins had oil and told the foolish ones to go buy some.

Whatever you did for the least of these brothers and sisters of mine, you did for me. The righteous will enter eternal life.
